This Mothers Day 2008, I wont be able to visit my parents. So I have to send all my gifts from here. Among all other mothers day gift ideas, I know I will be sending cards, for sure. And that made me wonder what to write on the cards. That would add some personal touch - it can be a mothers day poem or mothers day quote. Mothers are very similar to Gardeners. The gardeners toil to plant the seed, nurture the plan and ultimately be happy when flowers bloom. And then give the flower off to the world. The flower later is sold to lovers or women or decorated in homes. Similarly, mothers toil hard to not only give birth to a child but also nurture the child for years and then be content to see the child blooming into a full grown and independent adult. As Mother's Day comes close on May 11, I took some moment out of my work, and spend some time on thinking about the great moms I know or I ever have met. The first one who came to my mind was not my mother, but my sister, Tracy. She is my older sister and my only sibling. She is eight years elder to me. I often refer to her , to other people, as my second mom. She started taking care of me , since the day I can remember. Even she considers me her first kid. Today, she is a mother of my sweet nephew, Ryan. I admire her as a great mom, for she is one of those moms, who would say"I am not hungry", if there is not much food left at home. I want to wish her a Great Mother's Day, this year. Here's a lovely mothers day card for you Tracy, if you are reading this.

Whether by chance, or by choice, every women who leads the life of a single mother , single handedly is a living miracle. For women who become a single mother by choice are not only brave, but I would choose to call them fighters. I can imagine the different aspects of life they have to take care of, all alone. She not only has to be a mother, but also be a father, also a financial provider for the family, and at the end of the day, she has no life of her own, but she fights for her kid's life. Single mothers who are single moms not by choice, but by destiny are also one of those who deserve ample respect. An easy option for them would be to go for abortion, but without paying much attention to society they go ahead a give birth to a life and call that life, her own. Isn't it wonderful? A mother's love is simply splendid and unconditional. It expects nothing in return, like any other love.
